Is The Hobby Still Dying?

This is my result when searching for “miniature wargames dying”:
It’s fine.
People have been crying Chicken Little over the death of the hobby for decades.
Relax.
Don’t do anything stupid.
It will be fine.

It's that one and the graying of the hobby, which is true in my case but my kids are in their 30s and play! We'll be fine!
I think players have more options than ever, especially with indie publishers coming out with rules all the time. Heck, I even got a wargame to play with my son in the future called Necromolds. You create little fighters out of Play-Doh. It's brilliant and hopefully will introduce a whole new generation to the genre!
Yeah I started to play historic gaming when I was 17, and am now 37. And I have run into many, kids who are interested in historical gaming as well.
The biggest hurdle is that, most stores do not carry historicals, so they don't even know its a thing.
Oh man, that Necromolds is brilliant. Get while they are young, and you'll have them for a lifetime!
No doubt that's part of it.
I have to wonder if there is a connection between recent pushes to convince young western boys that there is nothing in their heritage worth celebrating, and the decline of interest in miniature wargaming.
